Having lived in Chelsea & Kensington for the last 8 years, I’ve discovered manyof the gems that the borough has to offer and am still discovering more each day. It’s a wonderful place to live thanks to the beautiful scenery, architecture, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, services and of course the people. With the highest population density in the UK, the borough is home to over 150,000 people and is visited by countless more each year. It’s easy to see the attraction, steeped in history and culture, it’s residents are both international and influential.

Which brings me to the purpose behind this site. Despite being a very tight-knit community I’ve always felt we needed a central site for news, reviews, information and classifieds specifically for the borough. The closest thing we have is the occasional newsletter and classifieds board at your local supermarket which clearly isn’t adequate!

The site is still in it’s early stages but I hope to keep adding content and bring on board some regular writers to keep the content fresh and up to date whilst providing a wonderful archive of local knowledge. I hope as the site becomes more popular the classifieds section and forum will become increasingly useful to all involved.

Finally a little bit about me. I’m a 26 year old junior doctor working at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. I spent 6 years at Imperial College in South Kensington studying medicine and the art of drinking! Over the years I’ve tried my hand at various jobs including regularly taking photos for the notorioius LondonParties and working at Harrods. With a big interest in technology and the internet I’ve worked on several web projects in the past and look forward to continuing that habit well in to the future! In the precious free time I do get, I love to wine and dine, go to the odd concert and check out the latest movie. I’ve always been a bit of a motorhead and my latest project is getting a private pilots license.

Finally if you think you could write reviews or articles for the site no a pay-per-article basis then I would be interested in hearing from you. Equally if you have any feedback please get in touch because I am always looking for ways to improve your experience!

Many thanks,

Just to inform you about the exhibition on Sir Hans Sloane currently at 72 Duke of York Square, Chelsea. The exhibition is a precursor to the 350th anniversary of Sloane’s birth celebrations in 2010 and all are invited to visit and find out more about the life of this important Chelsea resident.
